AIA Chief Operating Officer Honoured in 2026 Women in Trade Associations Powerlist
The Association of International Accountants (AIA) is proud to announce that our Chief Operating Officer, Nicola Perry, has been named in the 2026 Women in Trade Associations Powerlist – a recognition of her exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and lasting impact across the trade association sector.
The Powerlist, a collaboration between the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), and the Trade Association Forum (TAF), celebrates inspirational women making a real difference. This year’s list was compiled from over 200 nominations, with a judging panel including Nicola Bates, Julia Garvey, Aoife Doherty, Liz Banks, and Lucy Monks, tasked with selecting 100 outstanding women.
Nicola plays a central role at AIA, turning strategic ambitions into practical plans that strengthen governance, streamline operations, and improve efficiency across the association. Responsible for membership, education, governance, IT, and People, she provides direction and structure, oversees key projects and ensures smooth day-to-day operations.
She leads with fairness, clarity, and calm, fostering collaboration, supporting colleagues’ development, and enhancing communication across teams. Nicola has expanded AIA’s CPD programme, driven the successful launch of qualifications in India, and championed practical sustainability initiatives, making a lasting impact on members, students, and the wider association.
Commenting on her recognition, Nicola said:
“I’m truly honoured to be included in the 2026 Women in Trade Associations Powerlist alongside so many inspiring women doing incredible work across the sector. Being part of the AIA team is a privilege, and I’m proud to contribute to an organisation that supports its members and advances the profession globally.”
Nicola and the other Powerlist honourees will be celebrated at a reception on Wednesday 25 March 2026 at The Fort Rooms in London.
AIA is immensely proud to see Nicola’s work recognised in this way. Her leadership, dedication, and tireless commitment to excellence make her an inspiring figure within our organisation and across the wider profession.
We extend our congratulations to Nicola and all the women featured on the 2026 Powerlist – a truly well-deserved recognition of the remarkable impact women are making in trade associations today.
