Bradford College Marks T Levels Week 2025

From 13-17 October, Bradford College celebrated the fourth-ever ‘T Levels Week’ – a national celebration of exceptional T Level students, tutors, and employers.

T Levels are two-year courses that young people can take after completing GCSEs, broadly equivalent to three A Levels. Developed in collaboration with employers, T Levels ensure that students are equipped with the skills they need for the workplace.

Students can progress directly to skilled work, higher education such as degrees, or apprenticeships, and benefit from a mixture of classroom learning and on-the-job experience.

Bradford College launched Fast Track T Level courses in September 2022, but has since expanded to offer Level 2 Foundation T Levels (for students who require additional time and support to build up core skills in English and maths), as well as a range of full T Level qualifications.

Exceptional facilities

Cutting-edge facilities ensure T Level students have the best learning environments around. Remodelled T Level training facilities opened in 2024, thanks to a £3.5m investment from the Department for Education.

T Level students now have access to a new commercial and training barbering salon, a nail bar, collaborative lecture spaces, a TV studio, enhanced media editing and recording studios, and The Grove catering and hospitality training restaurant.

The latest facilities follow on from £1.3m funding that built impressive T Level health and early years rooms in 2023. The first phase of work involved creating five new digital teaching suites, a large collaboration science lab, a mock clinical ward, and converting classrooms into inspiring indoor and outdoor nursery training rooms.

Work placements that count

Every T Level qualification includes a vital 45-day hands-on work placement, giving young people the edge when they move into the workplace or higher-level learning.

The College works with major employers, such as Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), NHS Foundation Trust,  Bradford Arts Centre (formerly Kala Sangam), Magnus Construction, and Balfour Beatty, which partner with Bradford College to design training and offer hands-on work placements.

Great T Level results

Bradford College T Level students have already achieved outstanding results. They are moving on to a wide range of next steps, with some heading directly into the workplace and others starting a higher-level apprenticeship or going to university.

This summer, the first-ever group of T Level students achieved a 100% pass rate (compared to a national pass rate of 91.4%), with 80% of students achieving a distinction grade on the Education & Early Years T Level programme.
